N ALLUR KOVIL IN JAFFNA  Origins – The earlier shrines of Kandaswamy in Nallur [ edit ] The original, Kandaswamy Temple was founded in 948 ad. According to the  Yalpana Vaipava Malai , the temple was developed at the site in the 13th century by Buwanika Bahu, a minister to the King of Kotte.  Sapumal Kumaraya  (also known as  Chempaha Perumal  in  Tamil ), who ruled the  Jaffna kingdom  on behalf of the Kotte kingdom is credited with building the third Nallur Kandaswamy temple. [4] [5]  Nallur served as the capital of the Jaffna kings, with the royal palace situated very close to the temple. Nallur was built with four entrances with gates. [6]  There were two main roadways and four temples at the four gateways. යාපනය කොටුව (දෙමළ: யாழ்ப்பாணக் கோட்டை, සිංහලෙන්: :  යපනය බාලකොටුව) පෘතුගීසින් ආක්‍රමණය කිරීමෙන් පසුව 1618 දී යාපනයේ පෘතුගීසීන් විසින් ඉදිකරන ලද බලකොටුවකි. කොටියාය අසල කොටුව පිහිටා ඇත.යාපනය  කොටුව තුල පල්ලියෙහි ඇති බොහෝ ප්‍රාතිහාර්යයන් හේතුවෙන් යාපනය කොටුව ජෆානාපාටෝ ප්රාන්තයේ ආශ්චර්යයේ ප්රාන්තයේ (Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora dos Milagres de Jafanapatão) යනුවෙන් නම් කර ඇත. 1658 දී රීක්ලොෆ් වැන් ගෝන්ස් යටතේ ලන්දේසින් විසින් එය පාලනය කරන ලදී. 1795 දී එය බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයන් විසින් පවරා ගන්නා ලද අතර, 1948 තෙක් බ්‍රිතාන්‍යය බලකොටුවක් යටතේ පැවතුණි. එය රටේ බලකොටුව තුල ආන්ඩුව හා මිලිටරි ගොඩනැඟිලි වල සිට තිබුනු එකම විශාල හමුදා බලකොටුව ලෙසට එය ආරක්ෂිතව තිබුනි 1680 දී ලන්දේසීන් විසින් පෘතුගීසීන් විසින් ඉදිකරන ලද යාපනය කොටුව ඉදි කිරීම. 1693 සිට කොටුවේ සිතියම. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සිවිල් යුද්ධයේ ආරම්භයත් සමඟ අවස්ථා කිහිපයකදීම වටලනු ලැබීය. 1986 සිට 1995 දක්වා එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. පාලනය යටතේ එය එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. පාලනය යටතේ  කරන වෙබ් අඩවි භාවිතයට ගැනීම සඳහා භාවිතා කරන ස්ථානයේ සිට යුද හමුදාව පාලනය කිරීම නවතා දැමීමට එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ.
